# Send a follow-up email for an ingested presentation

> Sends a follow-up email, such as a reminder, for the presentation that `POST /api/decks/{deckId}/ingest` created from `(deck_id, source_event_id)`. Server-to-server callers authenticate with a Bearer token. A company credential only reaches its own company's presentations.

Every decided outcome returns `200`: `sent`, `skipped` with a `reason`, or `failed`. AI Presentations records each outcome as one delivery attempt per `idempotency_key`. A repeated key returns the original result without sending again. The safety checks (suppressed address, parked or failed presentation, no first email sent) always run. `skip_if` only adds conditions.

`409` with code `SEND_IN_PROGRESS` means another call with the same key hasn't finished. Retry it with the same key. `5xx` responses are also safe to retry with the same key.

**Authentication**: Most endpoints require a session cookie obtained from
    `POST /api/auth/login`. Presentation playback endpoints (`/api/qa`,
    `/api/narration/*`) also accept a `presentationId` for unauthenticated
    viewer access.
