# Import a contract document

> Uploads a contract document (PDF or Word) and uses AI to analyze the full document for template conversion. Legacy Word files (.doc) are converted to .docx automatically before analysis. Returns a markdown template with variable placeholders, the list of detected variables, and a one-sentence summary of the contract.
